ProjExec 7.1.1 has been released and available for download. This is a quarterly maintenance release to ProjExec 7.1 which contains various fixes and optimizations to help ProjExec users get a faster response time. We recommend that all customers currently on maintenance upgrade to this latest release, namely those using timesheets, subprojects and resource calendars.

Back in 1989 Lotus Notes was released and for many years it occupied a unique position in the software market. One of my favorite quotes from this era is found in the video below (at the 55 second mark) when a report asks “Lotus Notes, what the hell is it?”. The response (I assume from a business partner) is “… I couldn’t tell you. I have no idea. I just sell it!”

There was a lot of speculation recently what happened with “IBM Connections Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook”, it was removed from the Solution Catalog without any Information prior to the removal. Now it is official, yesterday an official article was published stating that the Plug-in will not be available for download in the Solution Catalog.

IBM Docs: Error with Conversion Server on Linux

If you install the IBM Docs Conversion Server on a Linux environment as described in this article, it could be that the Symphony tasks will not start. In the error log file you will see an error message that the XWindows system could not be startet: In this case you need to add the parameter "-headless" to the template file "/opt/IBM/ConnectionsDocs/Conversion/symphony/sym_monitor/template.sh"
